The 1992 Collection
Similar to 1991, no overall numbering was used by Galoob for 1992. However, the ULTRAFAST series follow the pattern to define the year and are presented here first to develop an order. Still, many of the vehicles were not actually released for this series. And what was released can be extremely difficult to find! In fact, sealed collection #8 (Emergency) sealed is 1 of only 2 known, and collections #4 (Super 900) and #9 (American Muscle) sealed are unique. Many of these vehicles are found as bonus vehicles on other 1992 collection cards or in playsets which explains the discrepancy in individual rarity. (Note: Collection #5 (Super Vette) shown on a '92 Classy Chromers card is not sealed, but is likely how this collection was released since a few examples of the black Corvette are known loose and typically found with the other 4 in lots. Both versions are shown loose below where the blue/yellow "73" and black/red stripe Corvettes are swapped in the catalog image to the yellow and black/double red stripe vehicles not known as production. Collection #4 is sealed as a pre-production set shown below lending furhter credibility that the #5 set is a genuine find that survived a retail sale.) Since the "Hooters" car in collection #2 is found as production (extremely rare!), it is likely this was the intended vehicle to go with this set, however, the "Vetta 7" car is shown in the catalog and below as well for comparison. Some variants are known for these vehicles and a few examples are shown below for reference.

1992 Speed Boats, Cool Copters, and Famous Planes
To maintain the organizational structure similar to 1991, these types have been grouped together. Spring release sets had the bonus vehicle attached to the card separately while fall release sets had the bonus vehicle affixed within the main blister insert. Speed Boats and Cool Copters had one set released, but Famous Planes had three. Italian, Spanish, and Canadian packaging variations are known. Spain is highly unusual here using a 1989 card back, 1988 style blister insert, and a 1991 style card-back.

1992 Adventures Collections
Similar to 1991, mini playsets with associated vehicles were released again in 1992. Spring and fall bonus positional/vehicle variations were used as well for this series, and card-backs using 1991 or 1992 design typically correspond to the seasonal difference. Canadian sets include both English and French text. Of special note is the vehicle variation for Adventures #2 (Roadside Adventure) from Belgium where Shell is replaced with Burmah.

1992 Classy Chromers Collections
Four different sets of vehicles were planned for the 1992 Classy Chromers series, but collection #2 was not released except in highly regional markets such as Spain and Germany. The only known sealed example of this collection is shown below on a '91 Aventuras (Adventures) card presumably since it was a salesman/approval sample further evidenced by the staple in the upper right-hand corner which is found typically with signed sample details. Collection #2 was dropped for the fall release entirely and the numbering revised to reflect it as well. (Note: spring releases had 2 to 3 different bonus vehicles located on the card in a separate mini-blister while the later fall release only had one bonus vehicle style and placed inside the main blister.) The Spanish collections had no bonus vehicle included, and the German examples did not include a pink star behind the bonus car. Canadian sets include both English and French text. A gas station giveaway in Belgium included two of the vehicles from collection #1 in random combinations as shown below

1992 Drivers Collections
This series is fairly difficult to explain for 1992. Collections 3 and 4 are common and from the initial spring release, however, in that grouping, collections 1 and 2 were not released except in Europe. A big thanks to BW for supplying the Spanish example images below! They are unique with no others known sealed from Spain. The French example (LES PILOTES) is also unique and the only other known sealed example from France. Most of these Spring collection 1 & 2 vehicles are found as bonus pieces (albeit still rare for some) in other 1992 collections, but the Indy 50s Kurtis and the Pink Porsche 356 Speedster are not. In fall 1992, the earlier collections (#3 and #4) were replaced and renumbered as collections #1 and #2 - easily identified by the bonus vehicle placement on the card insert.

1992 Neon Beach Collections
This colorful series was composed of 2 different collections. However, if including the bonus vehicle/card position variations, there are 6 sets technically to collect. German (no pink star behind the bonus car) and Canadian versions with English/French text add more to the mix. Collection #1 has known casting variations for 3 of the 5 vehicles shown below which appear to only be found in Australia. A pre-production sealed set is shown below for Collection #1 on a Spanish '89 card.

1992 Reflectors Collections
Per the 1992 catalog, 4 collections were planned for the Reflectors series (shown loose below matching the intended release based on the catalog), however, they were called, "Shiners" initially. For production, the naming was modified to "Reflectors" and only 3 collections released. Collections 1 and 2 were more widely available as opposed to collection #3 which was only released in the UK and extremely rare. Reflectors #3 is considered one of the rarest sealed collections in the world with only 2 known in fact. (The last sales price in 2021 for this set was over $2000 after fees.) Spanish collections for this series and Ultra Movers were called, "Destellos". No bonus vehicle is included in the Destellos releases. (The spring-release bonus vehicle on card for collection #3 is not thought to exist.)

1992 Stock Car Superstars Collections
There were 6 sets planned for this series in 1992. However, collection #2 was not released which is thought to have been due to licensing issues for Galoob. The catalog indicates a Folgers coffee design was originally planned in fact. Collection #2 was never added or was removed from the card-back, but not the blister insert. (The '92 Mark Martin (#2) shown here is a pre-production set with a deco Valvoline semi and car. The shell tanker appears to be normal production.) Canadian and Australian sets are shown here for foreign releases along with a signed Richard Petty set, and four error sets. Note: Many collectors mistake the later add-on collections of #7, #8, and #9 to be from 1992 combining them together, but those are actually 1993 releases.

1992 Super Bikes Collections
There were two collections for this series, but taking into account the positional/vehicle type bonus cars, there are 7 collections technically. It appears the motorcycles were not strictly controlled in the sets either with some changing seasonally for collection #2. An Australian set is shown with the KidzBiz sticker.

1992 Super Sparklers Collections
There were three collections released for this series. Bonus vehicle variations and blister positions makes for 9 different technically to collect. Sets with no pink sticker behind the bonus car are German releases. Similar to the Neon collection casting variations, collection #3 for this release also is known with a similar change in vehicle castings, but found in Europe and believed to be part of the Micro Village playset release. Two Pre-production sealed sets on 1991 Classy Chromers cards are added at the end of this section containing extreme vehicle rarities such as the sparker Lamborghini, black Castrol design Corvette, and blue logo Formula Racing Lubricants. While a few of these loose vehicles are known in well-established collections, these are the only known sealed.

1992 Ultra Movers Collections
Ultra Movers are extremely popular with three different collections released. Since the series was not sold in fall 1992, only the spring style of packaging with bonus vehicles on the card are known. This seasonal variation in sales is likely responsible for the rarity of the series. If collecting by bonus variation, there are 6 different collections to locate. Sets are found in the USA, Canada, and Spain (Destellos). Pre-production sets are shown for collections #2 and #3 on '91 cards. The 1992 catalog indicates a different arrangement of vehicles for this series shown below loose at the bottom matching the intended release pattern.

1992 X-Rays Collections
Only 2 collections were released for the X-rays series in 1992 and no bonus vehicle variations were used like in other series for 1992. This makes for only 4 collections based on positional bonus cars technically. An error set with 1993 Adventures packaging is known and shown below. The distribution sticker for China only may be an indication that this odd error was detected and sold in that region only.
